Old Town Beauty!

Hello and Happy Monday!
We had yet another glorious weekend here in Park City, complete with a night out at Prime Steak house on Friday and some great open houses held in Glenwild and Old Town.
Rob even got some golf in at Promontory (Promontory has some really great courses and Rob says they are very tough…I think I believe him since he’s apparently a decently good golfer 😉 a couple times and I got to spend a few choice hours lounging by the pool at Glenwild (the pool at Glenwild is one of the best in town, and the food and drinks they serve there make it even better!) with my favorite friends!
I simply can’t complain!  Wish you were here!  😉

Speaking of open houses….I held on this past Sunday at a home located at 309 Park Avenue in the area we call “Old Town” here in Park City.  Old Town is the area around historic Main Street where most of the old miners shacks used to reside.  Now, most of those miners shacks have been rehabbed into fabulous little cottages right in the thick of things.  From the home at 309 Park Avenue (Park Avenue is the street directly behind Main Street) it’s only a few steps down to Main Street and you end up smack dab in the center of the best restaurants, bars, shops and excitement.  It’s so convenient to do open houses there on Sundays since I like to go to the Park Silly Market (a street market/fair held every Sunday in Park City on lower Main Street) in the early part of the day and then I am just about 30 seconds from putting up open house signs and throwing some delicious chocolate chip cookies into the oven to prep for my visitors!  🙂

I figured I’d put a post up today about that 309 Park Avenue home not only because I had such a great open house there yesterday but also because I just love chatting about it and there’s no one around for me to gab to at the moment…so I’m sorry, but you’re it!  😉

Well the home is a little under 2500 square feet and is not only so very close to Main Street but it’s also just a few steps away from the slopes of Park City Mountain Resort.  It’s basically a ski-in/ski-out property with a very reasonable price.  There are four nice sized bedrooms and four and a half baths.  All of the stone work and tile is stunning with a lot of clean lines and interesting materials.  All the finishes in fact are quite pretty from the easy palete of the ribbed, linear beige carpet to the somewhat rustic but still modern distressed black trim.  The kitchen is gorgeous with granite counter tops and a sunken farm style sink and all the appliances are top of the line sub-zero and wolf.  Besides the wonderful carpet the house features lots of cherry wood floors and really attractive slightly modern stainless steel and glass light fixtures.

I can’t tell you how many people have come through the home and commented on the great design and style as well as the unbeatable location.  AND there is a very nice sized deck out front with a great space to hang out and watch the little valley that is Old Town Park City.

I just really LOVE this house!  I know it’s a bit of a crazy market right now.  And yes, there are lots of properties for sale….but you have to admit that some places just stand out and this is one of them.  Especialy for the price, it’s hard to compete.  The home is listed at 1,995,000 which is competitive and quite a value.  A brand new home like this one in any other ski town would be at least twice the price.  But that’s just another reason to love Park City.  Even in this tough market we are still an amazing value.  Our property prices will undoubtedly sky-rocket in the years to come and all the people who purchased at the current prices will be gloating at their savvy investments.

So I know what you’re thinking….what does this adorable home acutally look like?!?!  Show us some pictures!  Ok already….here they are:
